Outcome
Having worked on this project since inception, we have established positive foundational relationships between our client and the community, and built trust and goodwill through our respectful and balanced engagement approach that acknowledges there are different interests between affected stakeholders. Through our community survey design, communications material and advice to our client, we have demonstrated to the community that their feedback is important, and that their concerns or ideas are being used to shape the project’s mitigation and compensation strategies.

Project summary
Lecroma delivered the Preliminary Social Impact Assessment (PSIA) for Someva Renewables and Mainstream Renewable Power’s proposed Sunny Corner Wind Farm (500 MW), in Sunny Corner NSW.
We collected social and economic baseline data and completed extensive in-person and remote consultation with over 400 stakeholders including First Nations people, project neighbours, forest users, councils and businesses impacted by the proposed development.
This PSIA formed a critical part of the project feasibility scoping report provided to the NSW Department of Planning and Environment.
