Delivery and regional impacts – International development

Mekong-Australia Partnership on Transnational Crime
Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade | Bangkok, Thailand

The Mekong-Australia Partnership on Transnational Crime (MAP-TNC) is an eight-year investment by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trading (DFAT) promoting cross-border cooperation between Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam to tackle drug trafficking, child sexual exploitation and financial crime.

In 2023, Lecroma partnered with The Palladium Group to support program design and stakeholder coordination across multiple Australian Government agencies operating in the Mekong region. We reviewed existing Australian government support to identify duplication and opportunity, provided expert development advice and designed governance arrangements for the multi-agency, cross-border program.

An independent mid-term review recommended the program be continued. MAP-TNC continues to grow in ambition and engagement across the region.
